Fashion designer Nadine Mneimneh just launched her new capsule collection.
Born and raised in France until the age of 18, Nadine has been living between Paris (where she obtained a bachelor degree in fashion design and pattern making from ESMOD) and Beirut (where she opened her own atelier in July 2012).
The silhouette of her new collection is loose, raw and feminine – with an artisanal feel. Lines and volumes “are sharpened by the use of refined menswear fabrics” (as Nadine puts it) and could to a certain extent remind us of traditional Japanese wear.
“This capsule tells my own story. Elements of urbanity, looseness and understated elegance define the core aesthetics. The shapes are basic but cut in refined linen and wool. The colors are kept dark to complement the timeless silhouette.”
